This project is a knowledge transfer project that delivers proprietary information showing how relative creep response of paper can be obtained from normal top-of-reel type paper tests.

Starch Performance Bundle

Status: Available 1%

One of the large recurring costs on the paper machine, particularly for recycled paper, is the use of starch to improve the strength or property performance of the paper manufactured.

Aurelia is launching an exclusive, co-operative project that will use its existing on-line, continuous stiffness measurement system, the ‘PSM Qube’ to develop a system to continuously monitor and provide feedback to allow control of starch usage in close to real time on the paper machine.
